حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ

إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَتَى عَبْدُ اللهِ أَبَا مُوسَى فَتَحَدَّثَ عِنْدَهُ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمَّا أُقِيمَتْ فَتَأَخَّرَ أَبُو مُوسَى فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ «لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ صَاحِبُ الْبَيْتِ» فَأَبَى أَبُو مُوسَى حَتَّى تَقَدَّمَ مَوْلًى لِأَحَدِهِمَا

Translation

✧ Ibrahim said: ʿAbd Allah came to Abu Musa and conversed with him. When the prayer became due and the iqamah was called, Abu Musa stepped back. ʿAbd Allah said to him: "You indeed know that it is part of the Sunnah for the owner of the house to lead." Abu Musa refused until a freedman of one of them went forward.
