✧ A man from Banu Sa'd b. Bakr came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and the Messenger of God ﷺ had been nursed among them. He said, "O son of 'Abd al-Muttalib." He said, "I have answered you." He said, "I am the envoy of my people and their messenger, and I am going to question you, and my questioning will be intense, and I will adjure you, and my adjuration will be intense, so do not be angry with me." He said, "Yes." He said, "Tell me: Who created the heavens and the earth, Paradise and Hell?" He said, "God, may He be exalted." He said, "I adjure you by Him: Is it He who sent you with what came to us of your letter and your messengers came to us, that we should bear witness that there is no god but God and that we should abandon al-Lat and al-'Uzza?" He said, "Yes." He said, "I adjure you by Him: Is it He who commanded you?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Your letter came to us and your messengers came to us, that we should pray five prayers every day and night. I adjure you by Him: Is it He who commanded you?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Your letter came to us and your messengers came to us, that we should fast one month every year. I adjure you: Is it He who commanded you?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Your letter came to us and your messengers came to us, that we should perform Hajj to it in Dhul-Hijjah. I adjure you: Is it He who commanded you?" He said, "Yes." He said, "These are five, and I will not add to them." When he turned away, the Messenger of God ﷺ said, "Indeed, if he does what he said, he will enter Paradise."
