حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو التَّنُّورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَأْرِبِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سُمَيِّ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ شَرَاحِيلَ عَنْ شُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبْيَضَ بْنِ حَمَّالٍ

أَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَسْتَقْطِعُهُ الْمِلْحَ فَأَقْطَعَهُ إِيَّاهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تَدْرِي مَا أَقْطَعْتَهُ الْمَاءَ الْعِدَّ فَأَرْجَعَهُ مِنْهُ وَسَأَلْتُهُ مَا يُحْمَى مِنَ الْأَرَاكِ؟ قَالَ «مَا لَمْ تَبْلُغْهُ أَخْفَافُ الْإِبِلِ»

✧ He came as a delegate to the Prophet ﷺ to request the salt, and he granted it to him. A man said to him, “O Messenger of Allah, do you know what you have granted him? You have granted him standing water.” So he took it back from him. I asked him about what may be protected of the arak. He said, “What the hooves of camels do not reach.”
