حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَأْرِبِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ شَرَاحِيلَ عَنْ شُمَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَدَانِ عَنْ أَبْيَضَ بْنِ حَمَّالٍ

أَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَقْطَعَهُ الْمِلْحَ فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَدْرِي مَا أَقْطَعْتَهُ إِنَّمَا أَقْطَعْتَهُ الْمَاءَ الْعِدَّ قَالَ فَرَجَعَ فِيهِ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَمَّا يُحْمَى مِنَ الْأَرَاكِ؟ قَالَ «مَا لَمْ تَنَلْهُ أَخْفَافُ الْإِبِلِ»

✧ He came as a delegate to the Prophet ﷺ, and he granted him the salt. When he turned away, a man said, “O Messenger of Allah, do you know what you have granted him? You have only granted him standing water.” He said: So he took it back. He said: I asked him about what may be protected of the arak. He said, “What the hooves of camels do not reach.”
