حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ مُطَّرِحِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ قَالَ
كَانَتِ امْرَأَةٌ تُرَافِثُ الرِّجَالَ وَكَانَتْ بَذِيئَةً. فَمَرَّتْ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ ثَرِيدًا عَلَى طَرَيَانٍ. قَالَتْ: انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَجْلِسُ كَمَا يَجْلِسُ الْعَبْدُ، وَيَأْكُلُ كَمَا يَأْكُلُ الْعَبْدُ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «وَأَيُّ عَبْدٍ أَعْبَدُ مِنِّي؟» قَالَتْ: وَيَأْكُلُ وَلَا يُطْعِمُنِي قَالَ «فَكُلِي.» قَالَتْ: نَاوِلْنِي يَدَكَ فَنَاوَلَهَا. قَالَتْ: أَطْعِمْنِي مِمَّا فِي فِيكَ، فَأَعْطَاهَا، فَأَكَلَتْ فَغَلَبَهَا الْحَيَاءُ فَلَمْ تُرَافِثْ أَحَدًا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ.

✧ There was a woman who used to speak obscenely to men and was foul-mouthed. She passed by the Prophet ﷺ while he was eating tharīd on a leather mat. She said: “Look at him sitting as a slave sits and eating as a slave eats.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “And which slave is more enslaved than me?” She said: “He eats and does not feed me.” He said: “Then eat.” She said: “Hand me your hand.” He handed it to her. She said: “Feed me from what is in your mouth.” He gave her some, and she ate. Then modesty overcame her, and she no longer spoke obscenely to anyone until she died.
