حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ثنا أَبُو الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
مَا دَنَوْتُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ أَوْ تَطَوُّعٍ إِلَّا سَمِعْتُهُ يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ الدَّعَوَاتِ لَا يَزِيدُ فِيهِنَّ وَلَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْهُنَّ «اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَخَطَايَايَ اللهُمَّ أَنْعِشْنِي وَاجْبِرْنِي وَاهْدِنِي لِصَالِحِ الْأَعْمَالِ وَالْأَخْلَاقِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي لِصَالِحِهَا وَلَا يَصْرِفُ سَيِّئَهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ»

✧ I never drew near to your Prophet ﷺ in a prescribed prayer or a voluntary one except that I heard him supplicating with these words and supplications, not adding to them nor subtracting from them: “O Allah, forgive me my sins and my errors. O Allah, revive me, mend me, and guide me to righteous deeds and character, for none guides to what is righteous among them and none turns away what is evil among them except You.”
