حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا وَهْبٌ ثنا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ كَتَبَ الْإِحْسَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَإِذَا قَتَلْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْقِتْلَةَ وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الذَّبْحَ وَلْيُحِدَّ أَحَدُكُمْ شَفْرَتَهُ وَلْيُرِحْ ذَبِيحَتَهُ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “God, exalted is He, has prescribed excellence in everything. So when you kill, kill well; and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and give rest to his slaughtered animal.”
