- Samurah
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to forbid the owner of palm trees from incurring debt against the fruit of his palms until some of its fruit could be eaten, for fear that he would incur a large debt and the fruit would spoil and not fulfill it for him. He used to forbid the owner of crops from incurring debt against his crops until they reached harvest. And he used to forbid the owner of gold, when he sold it for food in exchange for fruit, from selling the food for gold until the food was measured and he took possession of it, for fear of riba.
