وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِرَقِيقِ الرَّجُلِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ الَّذِي هُمْ تِلَادِهِ وَهُمْ عَمَلَتُهُ لَا يُرِيدُ بَيْعَهُمْ فَكَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ لَا نُخْرِجَ عَنْهُمْ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ شَيْئًا وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُخْرِجَ الصَّدَقَةَ مِنَ الرَّقِيقِ الَّذِي يُعَدُّ لِلْبَيْعِ»
Translation
Chain of narrators

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command regarding a man’s or woman’s slaves who are their inherited property and their workers, whom they do not intend to sell: he would command us not to give any zakat on their behalf; and he would command us to give zakat on the slaves who are prepared for sale.
