حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ «هَهُنَا مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ أَحَدٌ؟» فَنَادَى ثَلَاثًا فَأَجَابَهُ رَجُلٌ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ فَقَالَ «هَلْ سَمِعْتَ نِدَائِي؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَإِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ فُلَانًا احْتَبَسَ عَنِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ أَجْلِ الدَّيْنِ الَّذِي كَانَ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَافْدُوهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ اللهِ وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَأَسْلِمُوهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed, and when he finished, he said, “Is there anyone here from Banu al-Najjar?” He called out three times, and a man answered him on the third. He said, “Did you hear my call?” He said, “Yes.” He said, “Indeed, your companion so-and-so has been detained from Paradise because of the debt he owed. If you wish, ransom him from the punishment of Allah, and if you wish, surrender him.”
