حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ السَّرَّاجُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ أنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ أُمَّ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ مَاتَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا وَتَرَكَ ابْنَهُ سَمُرَةَ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةً جَمِيلَةً فَقَدِمَتِ الْمَدِينَةَ فَخُطِبَتْ فَجَعَلَتْ تَقُولُ «لَا أَتَزَوَّجُ رَجُلًا إِلَّا رَجُلًا يَكْفُلُ لَهَا بِنَفَقَةِ ابْنِهَا سَمُرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَكَانَتْ مَعَهُ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ»

✧ That the wife of Samurah b. Jundub lost her husband, and he left his son Samurah. She was a beautiful woman, so she came to Madinah and was sought in marriage. She began to say, “I will not marry any man except a man who will guarantee her the maintenance of her son Samurah until he reaches maturity.” So a man from the Ansar married her on that condition, and she was with him among the Ansar.
