حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ السَّرَّاجُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ أنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ أُمَّ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ مَاتَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا وَتَرَكَ ابْنَهُ سَمُرَةَ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةً جَمِيلَةً فَقَدِمَتِ الْمَدِينَةَ فَخُطِبَتْ فَجَعَلَتْ تَقُولُ «لَا أَتَزَوَّجُ رَجُلًا إِلَّا رَجُلًا يَكْفُلُ لَهَا بِنَفَقَةِ ابْنِهَا سَمُرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَكَانَتْ مَعَهُ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ»

✧ That Umm Samurah bint Jundub died and her husband died and left behind her son Samurah, and she was a beautiful woman. She came to the city and she was proposed to. She said, "I will not marry a man except a man who will take care of the expenses of her son Samurah until he comes of age." So a man from the Ansar married her on that condition, and she lived with him among the Ansar.
