حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الصَّائِغُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا هَلَكَ ابْنُهُ طَاهِرٌ ذَرَفَتْ عَيْنُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَكَيْتَ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ تَذْرِفُ وَإِنَّ الدَّمْعَ يَغْلِبُ وَإِنَّ الْقَلْبَ يَحْزَنُ وَلَا نَعْصِي اللهَ ﷻ»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ passed away, his son Tahir began to shed tears. It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, did you cry?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, the eye sheds tears, and indeed, tears overcome, and indeed, the heart feels sadness, but we do not disobey Allah."
