حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّهُ جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي وَجَعِهِ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ الضَّالَّةَ تَرِدُ عَلَى حَوْضِ إِبِلِي هَلْ لِي أَجْرٌ إِنْ سَقَيْتُهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ فِي الْكَبِدِ الْحَارَّةِ أَجْرٌ»

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ during his illness and said, 'What do you think about a stray animal that comes to the watering trough of my camels—is there any reward for me if I give it water?' He said, 'Yes, in every warm liver there is a reward.'
