حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَبُو مَالِكٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ ثنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ فَدَخَلْنَا مَكَّةَ لِأَرْبَعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَقَالَ سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذِهِ الْمُتْعَةُ لَنَا خَاصَّةً أَمْ لِلْأَبَدِ؟ قَالَ «لَا بَلْ لِلْأَبَدِ دَخَلْتِ الْعُمْرَةُ فِي الْحَجِّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ We set out with the Messenger of God ﷺ when five days remained of Dhū al-Qaʿdah, and we entered Makkah when four days had passed of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. Surāqah b. Mālik b. Juʿshum said, 'O Messenger of God, is this tamattuʿ for us specifically or forever?' He said, 'No, rather forever. ʿUmrah has been merged into Hajj until the Day of Resurrection.'
