حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ
ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تُفْتَحُ الْيَمَنُ فَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ يَبُسُّونَ فَيَتَحَمَّلُونَ بِأَهَالِيهِمْ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَهُمْ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ ثُمَّ تُفْتَحُ الْعِرَاقُ فَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ يَبُسُّونَ فَيَتَحَمَّلُونَ بِأَهَالِيهِمْ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَهُمْ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ ثُمَّ تُفْتَحُ الشَّامُ فَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ يَبُسُّونَ فَيَتَحَمَّلُونَ بِأَهَالِيهِمْ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَهُمْ وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ»

✧ ‘Abd Allah b. Maslama al-Qa‘nabi narrated to us: My father narrated to me, from Hisham b. ‘Urwa, from his father, from ‘Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr, from Sufyan b. Abi Zuhayr, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Yemen will be conquered, and people will come driving their camels, taking their families and those who obey them. Madinah is better for them, if only they knew. Then Iraq will be conquered, and people will come driving their camels, taking their families and those who obey them. Madinah is better for them, if only they knew. Then Syria will be conquered, and people will come driving their camels, taking their families and those who obey them. Madinah is better for them, if only they knew.”
