حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ الْهُجَيْمِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ جَوْنٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبِّقِ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ سَافَرَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ مَعَهُ امْرَأَتُهُ بِجَارِيَةٍ لَهَا فَغَشَاهَا فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَخْبَرَتْهُ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ كَانَتْ طَاوَعَتْهُ فَهِيَ لَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ مِثْلُهَا وَإِنْ كَانَ اسْتَكْرَهَهَا فَهِيَ حُرَّةٌ وَعَلَيْهِ مِثْلُهَا»

✧ A man from Quraysh traveled, and his wife sent her slave-girl with him. He had intercourse with her. When he came to the Prophet ﷺ, she informed him of that. He said, 'If she consented, she belongs to him and he owes a similar one; and if he forced her, she is free and he owes a similar one.'
