حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا حُذَيْفَةُ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
قَدِمْنَا مِنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ فَبَايَعْنَاهُ فِي أَصْلِ شَجَرَةٍ قَالَ وَبَايَعْتُ فِي أَوَّلِ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَا سَلَمَةُ بَايِعْنِي» قُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ قَدْ وَاللهِ بَايَعْتُكَ فِي أَوَّلِ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ «وَأَيْضًا» قَالَ فَبَايَعْتُهُ فَرَآنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَيْسَ مَعِيَ جُنَّةٌ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

✧ We returned from Al-Hudaybiyyah with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and we pledged allegiance to him at the base of a tree. He said: I pledged allegiance among the first of the people. The Prophet ﷺ said to me, “O Salamah, pledge allegiance to me.” I said, “O Prophet of God, by God, I have already pledged allegiance to you among the first of the people.” He said, “And again.” He said: So I pledged allegiance to him. The Messenger of God ﷺ saw me without a shield. And he mentioned the hadith.
