حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
أَمَّرَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ فَغَزَوْنَا نَاسًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَتَلْنَاهُمْ وَكَانَ شِعَارُنَا «أَمِتْ» قَالَ سَلَمَةُ قَتَلْتُ بِيَدِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ تِسْعَةَ أَهْلِ أَبْيَاتٍ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ appointed Abu Bakr ؓ as our commander. We raided some of the polytheists and killed them. Our battle cry was 'Amit!' Salamah said: I killed with my own hand that night nine people of households.
