حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلِ بْنِ السِّمْطِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ صِيَامِ شَهْرٍ وَقِيَامِهِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُرَابِطًا جَرَى عَلَيْهِ عَمَلُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْمَلُ وَأُومِنَ الْفَتَّانَ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “Ribat for a day and a night in the path of God is better than fasting a month and standing in prayer during it, and whoever dies as a murābiṭ, his deeds that he used to do continue for him, and he is safeguarded from the two tempters.”
