حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى سَلْمَانَ فَرَأَيْتُ بَيْتَهُ رَثًّا فَقَالَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ زَادُكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَزَادِ الرَّاكِبِ»

✧ I entered upon Salman and saw his house was worn and shabby. Someone remarked to him about that, and he said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined me that your provision in this world should be like the provision of a rider."
