حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَخَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ أَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ثنا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
دَخَلَ سَلْمَانُ عَلَى عُمَرَ ؓ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى وِسَادَةٍ فَأَلْقَاهَا لَهُ فَقَالَ سَلْمَانُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ حَدِّثْنَا يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى وِسَادَةٍ فَأَلْقَاهَا إِلَيَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا سَلْمَانُ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَيُلْقِي لَهُ وِسَادَةً إِكْرَامًا لَهُ إِلَّا غَفَرَ اللهُ لَهُ»

✧ Salman entered upon 'Umar ؓ while he was reclining on a cushion, and he tossed it to him. Salman said: Allah is greatest; Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth. 'Umar said: Tell us, O Abu Abdullah. He said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was reclining on a cushion, and he tossed it to me, then said: "O Salman, no Muslim enters upon his Muslim brother and he tosses him a cushion in honor of him except that Allah forgives him."
