حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ طُعْمَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَسَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا فَوَجَدْتُهُ جَذَعًا فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هُوَ جَذَعٌ فَقَالَ «ضَحِّ بِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ distributed sacrificial animals among his companions and gave me a young goat. I found it to be a jadha‘, so I went back to him and said: “O Messenger of God, it is a jadha‘.” He said: “Sacrifice it.”
