حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَنْبَرٍ الْبَصْرِيٌّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ شَاهِينٍ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ
أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ جَاءَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَنْشُدُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِلَّا قَضَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ هَذَا بِكِتَابِ اللهِ وَأْذَنْ لِي فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنِي كَانَ عَسِيفًا عَلَى هَذَا وَإِنَّهُ زَنَى بِامْرَأَتِهِ فَأُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ عَلَى ابْنِي الرَّجْمَ فَفَدَيْتُهُ بِمِئَةِ شَاةٍ وَوَلِيدَةٍ فَسَأَلْتُ أَهْلَ الْعِلْمِ فَأَخْبَرُونِي أَنَّ عَلَى ابْنِي جَلْدَ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبَ عَامٍ وَأَنَّ الرَّجْمَ عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هَذَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأَقْضِيَنَّ بَيْنَكُمَا بِكِتَابِ اللهِ أَمَا الْجَارِيَةُ وَالْغَنَمُ فَرَدٌّ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى ابْنِكَ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبُ عَامٍ» وَقَالَ «اغْدُ يَا أُنَيْسُ عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هَذَا فَإِنِ اعْتَرَفَتْ فَارْجُمْهَا» فَغَدَا إِلَيْهَا فَاعْتَرَفَتْ فَرَجَمَهَا

✧ Two men came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. One of them said, "I adjure you, O Messenger of Allah, to judge between me and this man according to the Book of Allah, and permit me." He said, "My son was a hired worker for this man, and he committed adultery with his wife. I was told that my son was due stoning, so I ransomed him with one hundred sheep and a slave girl. Then I asked the people of knowledge, and they informed me that my son is due one hundred lashes and banishment for a year, and that stoning is due upon this man's wife." The Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I will surely judge between you according to the Book of Allah. As for the slave girl and the sheep, they are to be returned to you. Your son is due one hundred lashes and banishment for a year." He said, "Go, O Unays, to this man's wife, and if she confesses, stone her." So he went to her, she confessed, and he stoned her.
