حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ
تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ فَذَكَرُوهُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبَكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» فَفَتَّشُوا مَتَاعَهُ فَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودٍ مَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ

✧ A man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Ashjaʿ died, and they mentioned him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: "Pray over your companion, for he has stolen from the spoils in the cause of Allah." They searched his belongings and found in them beads from the beads of the Jews worth two dirhams.
