حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ مَا أَحَادِيثُ تَبْلُغُنَا عَنْكَ تُحَدِّثُ بِهَا فَتَرْوِيها

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ لَهُ حَوْضًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ؟ قُلْتُ قَدْ حَدَّثَنَا ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَوَعَدَنَاهُ قَالَ كَذَبْتَ وَلَكِنَّكَ شَيْخٌ قَدْ خَرِفْتَ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? You claim that he has a cistern in Paradise? I said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us this and promised it to us. He said: You have lied; rather you are an old man who has become senile.
