حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ قَالَ

لِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ مَا لِي أَرَاكَ تَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ؟ فَلَقَدْ «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِالطَّوِيلتَيْنِ» قُلْتُ وَمَا الطَّوِيلتَيْنِ؟ قَالَ «الْأَعْرَافُ وَيُونُسُ»

✧ Zayd b. Thabit said to me, “Why do I see you reciting in the prayer from the short mufassal surahs? I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite the two long ones.” I said, “And what are the two long ones?” He said, “Al-Aʿraf and Yunus.”
