حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْقَيْسِيُّ ثنا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ
كُنْتُ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَوْ قُلْتُ إِنَّ رُكْبَتِي تَمَسُّ رُكْبَتِهِ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ السَّحَرِ وَذَهَبَ ذُو الضَّرْعِ إِلَى ضَرْعِهِ وَذُو الزَّرْعِ إِلَى زَرْعِهِ أَغَارَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ {فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ}

✧ I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ. If I said that my knee touched his knee, he remained silent about them until when it was near dawn, and the owner of the milch animal had gone to his milch animal and the owner of the farm to his farm, he raided them and said, "Indeed, when we descend upon the open area of a people, then evil is the morning of those who were warned."
