al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 4667

✧ Zaid bin Haritha bin Sharahil bin Ka'ab bin Abdul Uzza bin Yazid bin Amr al-Qays al-Kalbi, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , martyred on the Day of Mu'tah in the 8th year.

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَبَّبٍ أَبُو هَمَّامٍ الدَّلَّالُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ هَزِيلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ قَالَ

«تَصَدَّقْتُ بِفَرَسٍ لِي فَرَأَيْتُ ابْنَتَهَا يُقَامُ بِالسُّوقِ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَشْتَرِيَهَا فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهَا»
