حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَهْلٍ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرٍ الْحِزَامِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَا ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْقَارِظِيُّ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عِبَادٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا لَهَبٍ بِعُكَاظٍ وَهُوَ يَتْبَعُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ هَذَا قَدْ غَوَى فَلَا يُغْوِيَنَّكُمْ عَنْ مَآثِرِ آبَائِكُمْ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَلُوذُ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ يَتْبَعُهُ

✧ I saw Abu Lahab at 'Ukaz following the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he was saying, “O people, this one has gone astray, so do not let him lead you astray from the noble deeds of your forefathers.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fleeing from him while he followed him.
