حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا نَرْجُو أَنْ نَلْقَى عَدُوَّنَا فَعَسَى أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ مَعَنَا بَعْضُ الْعِدَّةِ مِمَّا يُصْلِحُنَا أَفَنَأْكُلُ كُلَّ ذَبِيحَةِ الْقَصَبَةِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ كُلُّ مَا أَنْهَرَ الدَّمَ ذَكَاةٌ إِلَّا السِّنَّ وَالظُّفُرَ»

✧ We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we hope to meet our enemy, and perhaps some of the equipment that would prepare us will not be with us. May we eat every animal slaughtered by a reed?" He said, "Yes, whatever makes the blood flow is a means of slaughter, except tooth and nail."
