حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ ذِي الْأَصَابِعِ قَالَ
قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِ ابْتُلِينَا بَعْدَكَ بِالْبَقَاءِ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ «عَلَيْكُمْ بِبَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَنْشَأَ لَكُمْ ذُرِّيَّةٌ يَغْدُونَ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَيَرُوحُونَ»

✧ We said: "O Messenger of Allah, if we are tested after you with remaining, where do you command us?" He said: "You must keep to the House of the Holy, for perhaps offspring will arise for you who go to that mosque in the morning and return in the evening."
