حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ قَالَ

عَمَّارٌ «كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثَةً كُلُّنَا أَضْبَطُ» قِيلَ لِأَبِي شَيْبَةَ مَا الْأَضْبَطُ؟ قَالَ «الَّذِي يَعْمَلُ بِيَدَيْهِ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَأَبُو لَيْلَى»

✧ ʿAmmār: "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, three of us, all of us were aḍbaṭ." It was said to Abū Shayba: "What is al-aḍbaṭ?" He said: "The one who works with both his hands: Dhū al-Shimālayn, ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb, and Abū Laylā."
