حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّرْجُمَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْحَوَارِيِّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْحَبَشَةِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَتَى أَهْلَهُ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ حَضَرَهُ الْوَفَاةُ فَقَالَ «اغْسِلُونِي غُسْلَيْنِ غَسْلَةً لِلْجَنَابَةِ وَغَسْلَةٌ لِلْمَوْتِ»

✧ I saw Khalid b. al-Hawari, a man from Abyssinia among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. He came to his family, and when he finished, death came upon him, so he said: “Wash me with two washings: one washing for janāba and one washing for death.”
