حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْكَلْبِيُّ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ أَنَّ خَالِدَ بْنَ حَكِيمٍ مَرَّ بِأَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ وَهُوَ يُعَذِّبُ النَّاسَ فِي الْجِزْيَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَمَا

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَشَدُّهُمْ عَذَابًا فِي الدُّنْيَا» فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَخَلِّ سَبِيلَهُمْ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Indeed, the people most severe in punishment on the Day of Resurrection are those most severe in punishment in this world.” Then he said, “Go and let them go.”
