حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ الْحَوْطِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثنا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ غَابِرٍ الْأَلْهَانِيِّ قَالَ
دَخَلَ حَابِسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الطَّائِيُّ الْمَسْجِدَ مِنَ السَّحَرِ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَنَاسًا يُصَلُّونَ فِي صَدْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ الْمُرَاؤُونَ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ أَرْعِبُوهُمْ فَمَنْ رَعَّبَهُمْ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُصَلِّي مِنَ السَّحَرِ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ»

✧ Habis b. Sa'd al-Ta'i entered the mosque in the pre-dawn while he had met the Prophet ﷺ, and some people were praying in the front of the mosque. He said, "The ostentatious ones, by the Lord of the Ka'bah, frighten them! Whoever frightens them has obeyed God and His Messenger." Then he said, "The angels pray in the pre-dawn in the front of the mosque."
