✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage on the days of sacrifice to the people: “Is this not the sacred day?” They said, “Yes, O Messenger of God.” He said, “The sanctity of what is between you until the Day of Resurrection is like the sanctity of this day. I shall tell you who the Muslim is: the Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe. I shall tell you who the believer is: one whom the Muslims trust with their lives and their wealth. I shall tell you who the emigrant is: one who abandons evil deeds. And the believer is inviolable to the believer, like the sanctity of this day: his flesh is inviolable to him, that he should consume it by backbiting—he backbites him; his honor is inviolable to him, that he should violate it; his face is inviolable to him, that he should slap it; his blood is inviolable to him, that he should shed it; and his wealth is inviolable to him, that he should wrong him; and harming him is inviolable to him; and he is inviolable to him, that he should push him away forcefully.”
