حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ الْعُتْبَانِيِّ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ أَنَّ بُسْرَ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ قَالَ
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَنَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ عَلَى بِسَاطٍ «إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ» قَالُوا وَكَيْفَ نَفْعَلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَرَدَّ يَدَهُ إِلَى الْبِسَاطِ فَأَمْسَكَ بِهِ فَقَالَ «تَفْعَلُونَ هَكَذَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, while we were sitting on a carpet: “There will be a fitnah.” They said: “And what should we do, O Messenger of Allah?” He withdrew his hand to the carpet and grasped it, then said: “Do like this.”
