حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ وَابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ يَقُولُ خَرَجَ عُمَرُ ؓ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فَسَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ؟ قَالَ «بِ ق وَاقْتَرَبَتْ»

✧ I heard Ubayd Allah b. Abdullah b. Utbah say: Umar ؓ went out on a day of Eid and asked Abu Waqid al-Laythi, 'With what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite in the prayer on the day of Eid?' He said, 'With Qaf and Iqtarabat.'
