حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ يَقُولُ «مَاتَ سَعْدٌ وَمَرْوَانُ وَالِي الْمَدِينَةِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَمَاتَ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَخَمْسِينَ»

Translation

✧ I heard Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Numayr say: "Saʿd died while Marwān was governor of Madinah, and he prayed over him. He died in the year fifty-five."
