حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ

مَاتَ سَعْدٌ بِالْعَقِيقِ فِي قَصْرِهِ عَلَى عَشْرَةِ أَمْيَالٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَحُمِلَ عَلَى رِقَابِ الرِّجَالِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَيُقَالُ تُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِضْعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ

Translation

✧ Sa'd died in al-ʿAqīq, in his palace, ten miles from Madinah, and was carried on the shoulders of men to Madinah. It is said that he died when he was seventy-some years old.
