حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَصُومُ فَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ فَقَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ»

✧ Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, my father narrated to us from Hisham b. 'Urwah from his father from 'A'ishah that Hamzah b. 'Amr al-Aslami said to the Messenger of God ﷺ, "I am a man who fasts; should I fast while traveling?" He said, "If you wish, then fast, and if you wish, then break the fast."
