حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنبَرِيُّ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ

أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ فَقَالَ «صُمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ وَأَفْطِرْ إِنْ شِئْتَ»

✧ That Hamzah b. 'Amr al-Aslami asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying, "O Messenger of God, I am a man who fasts continuously; should I fast while traveling?" He said, "Fast if you wish, and break the fast if you wish."
