حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ غَالِبٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

«مَنْ أَحَبَّنَا لِلدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّ صَاحِبَ الدُّنْيَا يُحِبُّهُ الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّنَا لِلَّهِ كُنَّا نَحْنُ وَهُوَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ» وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى

Translation

✧ "Whoever loves us for the sake of this world, then the lover of this world is loved by both the righteous and the wicked. Whoever loves us for the sake of Allah, we and he will be on the Day of Resurrection like these two," and he gestured with his index and middle fingers.
