حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا ذُؤَيْبُ بْنُ عِمَامَةَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْعَامِلُ إِذَا اسْتُعْمِلَ فَأَخَذَ الْحَقَّ وَأَعْطَى الْحَقَّ كَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سُبَيْلِ اللهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Dhuʾayb b. ʿImāmah
  3. Sulaymān b. Sālim
  4. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Ḥumayd from his father from his grandfather

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'The official, when he is appointed and takes what is right and gives what is right, is like the one striving in the way of God until he returns to his home.'
