حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ الذُّهْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي فُلْفُلَةُ الْجُعْفِيُّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ؓ يَقُولُ «رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي الْمَنَامِ مُتَعَلِّقًا بِالْعَرْشِ وَرَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ أَخَذَ بِحَقْوَيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَرَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ ؓ أَخَذَ بِحَقْوَيْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ؓ وَرَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ ؓ أَخَذَ بِحَقْوَيْ عُمَرَ ؓ وَرَأَيْتُ الدَّمَ يَنْصَبُّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ» فَحَدَّثَ الْحَسَنُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَعِنْدَهُ قَوْمٌ مِنَ الشِّيعَةِ فَقَالُوا وَمَا رَأَيْتَ عَلِيًّا؟ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ «مَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ أَرَاهُ أَخَذَ بِحَقْوَيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ وَلَكِنَّهَا رُؤْيَا رَأَيْتُهَا»

✧ I heard al-Hasan b. Ali ؓ say: 'I saw the Prophet ﷺ in a dream clinging to the Throne. I saw Abu Bakr ؓ holding the waist of the Prophet ﷺ. I saw Umar ؓ holding the waist of Abu Bakr ؓ. I saw Uthman ؓ holding the waist of Umar ؓ. And I saw blood pouring from the sky to the earth.' Al-Hasan narrated this hadith while a group of Shi'ah were with him. They said, 'And what did you see of Ali?' Al-Hasan said, 'There was no one I would have loved more to see holding the waist of the Prophet ﷺ than Ali, but it was a dream I saw.'
