حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْوَشَّاءُ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّتِهِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ الْقَصْوَاءِ فَخَطَبَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ تَرَكْتُ فِيكُمْ مَا إِنْ أَخَذْتُمْ بِهِ لَنْ تَضِلُّوا كِتَابَ اللهِ وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلَ بَيْتِي

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during his pilgrimage on the day of ʿArafah while he was on his she-camel al-Qaṣwāʾ, and he delivered a sermon. I heard him saying, “O people, I have left among you that which, if you hold to it, you will never go astray: the Book of Allah and my progeny, my household.”
