حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ
«أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ كَانَ سَاقِطَ الثَّنِيَّتَيْنِ أهْتَمَ أَعْسَرَ أَعْرَجَ كَانَ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَهُتِمَ وَجُرِحَ عِشْرِينَ جِرَاحَةً أَوْ أَكْثَرَ أَصَابَهُ بَعْضُهَا فِي رِجْلِهِ فَعَرِجَ»

✧ Abd al-Rahman b. Awf had lost his two front teeth, was gap-toothed, left-handed, and lame. He was injured at Uhud, so his teeth were broken, and he received twenty wounds or more, some of which affected his leg, so he became lame.
