حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ
«وُلِدُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ؓ بَعْدَ الْفِيلِ بِعَشْرِ سِنِينَ وَمَاتَ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى أَوْ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَسِنُّهُ خَمْسٌ وَسَبْعونَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ»
Translation

✧ Abd al-Rahman b. Awf ؓ was born ten years after the Elephant, and he died in the year thirty-one or thirty-two, aged seventy-five. Uthman b. Affan ؓ prayed over him.
