حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ؓ حِينَ وَلَدَتْهُ فَاطِمَةُ ؓ أَرَادَتْ
أَنْ تَعُقَّ عَنْهُ بِكَبْشٍ عَظِيمٍ فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا تَعُقِّي عَنْهُ بِشَيْءٍ وَلَكِنِ احْلِقِي شَعَرَ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ تَصَدَّقِي بِوَزْنِهِ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ عَلَى الْأَوْفَاضِ» «ثُمَّ وَلَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ ؓ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ فَصَنَعَتْ بِهِ كَذَلِكَ»

✧ That she perform ʿaqīqah for him with a great ram. So she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: “Do not perform ʿaqīqah for him with anything, but shave the hair of his head then give in charity its weight in silver in the way of Allah or to the awfāḍ.” Then she gave birth to al-Ḥusayn ؓ in the following year and did the same for him.
